b. denotes using the 'BRUSH' setting (on separate object/layer) with the 'MERGE MODE' set on 'MULTIPLY' (see arrows - above) . . . . . note: the 'background' line work does appear/show-thru . . . . . . but so does the run-over of the applied brown coloring . . .
